Gold and Silver
When we take jewelry in, we will have to authenticate the precious metal and diamonds that adorn the piece. We will ask your permission to test your item before we begin the authentication process (if doing an acid test), which usually includes a visual inspection, weighing the item, and sizing (determining carat weight) any diamonds. In addition, we may test the metal using a special acid that determines the karat of gold. This process does not damage your jewelry. We then will give you an item value based on that days market price.
Note: The prices of gold, silver, etc fluctuate on a daily basis.
Antiques & Collectibles
When determining the price of antiques, we take into consideration the condition, resale value in current market, and demand for the item. Collectibles should be in good condition and have all certification/authentication if possible. We mainly look for very unique and unusual items when it comes to vintage and antique items.
Items such as Laptops, TVs, Blu Ray players, cameras, power tools will be tested to ensure they are in good working condition. This usually includes, a visual inspection, plugging in an item and turning it on, operational tests, and noting if all accessories are included. Always mention if there is any type of issue with your item.
Note: We normally don't take electronics that are broken, partially working, or outdated.
Everything else you need to know...
As with anything, the better condition the item is in, the more value it retains. Make sure that the item you are pawning is as complete as possible with all accessories, manuals, and parts. Unused or unopened items will be treated as pre-owned items since we aren't the retailers of any specific items. We take a variety of different items in, but we don't take everything. If we aren't able to work with your item, it is for good reason.
